Käthe Kollwitz was a German artist 1867–1945 whose Expressionistic prints, woodcuts, and sculptures empathetically portrayed human suffering. Her works are held in the collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Käthe Kollwitz Museum in Berlin, and the Albertina in Vienna, among others.
This poster is part of a large series that I created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the creation of BAUHAUS. The BAUHAUS school, which was founded at the beginning of the 20th century, inspires artists and designers to this day!
